It's Christmas (and Chanukah) and more than any time I can remember the internet feels closed. But since I'm too full to snack and too nocturnal to sleep, I figured I'd waste the last few hours of this here food coma searching through the good ol' Jambands.com news archives. And during my search I happened upon this forgotten story from a few years back.

Members of The Disco Biscuits, The Ally and Fat Mama to Collaborate

Members of The Disco Biscuits, The Ally and Fat Mama will play three upcoming shows as "The Cookie Dusters." The line-up features guitarist Jon Gutwillig (The Disco Biscuits), bassist Ira Tuton (The Ally), drummer Mike Greenfield (The Ally) and drummer Joe Russo (Fat Mama). The group will perform May 30 at The Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia, PA, May 31 at The Conduit in Trenton, NJ and June 1 at the Pseudo Lounge in New York City. Special guests are expected.

It is funny what a difference a few years makes in the music world. Back then this little gig likely went unnoticed and now any band that features members of the Disco Biscuits, the Duo and Yeasayer (Ira from the Ally's current BrooklynVegan-approved band) could likey mount a small theater tour (or at least pack the Bowery Ballroom). Any adventerous concert promoter want to help me put together a reunion performance for my annual Hungover for the Holidays party? I love bouncing down memory lane...
